All well and good, except for the suggestion that they are going away. . ..

Yeah, I saw that thread. My 5th gen just increased in value.  Unfortunately, I was waiting for the 7th.  I'm in the market for another bike.  It may have to be a 2007 after all.  My 2001 is racking up the mileage.

Absolutely!!!

Even though there is a rumor about ceasing production, I have to say I'm perfectly happy with mine, and I'm not in the market for a new bike anytime soon. Mine's doing very well, thank you. Bigsmile Bigsmile Bigsmile

They had a great run, for sure. I'd like to ride one some day. Seems like a perfect mix between my old bike (ST1300) and my current ride (919).

Rumours of the VFR's demise are rife and baseless...Yawn

Worldwide the bike is respected and sells well.  Here in North America, it is a sleeper at best.

The bike rocks for old-man riding - ridden hard and long.  You just aren't going to see them at the AMA races.  So, if you are depending on a "win on Sunday, sell on Monday" marketing plan, the VFR is never going to be a big seller.
