I'm posting this in here so as not to bother the common folk. Bigok

My BIL wants to start riding/commuting in town and doesn't want a "dirt-bike" (I suggested a 125-250 enduro of some sort).

I think a 250 ninja would be good. Or a Rebel, or an eliminator.

Let me know if you know of anything along the wasatch front.

Aesthetics aren't important. Mechanical condition/maintenance records are.

Thanks

Has your BIL taken the BRC yet?

I'll keep an eye out for ya.

No offense to you, of course, but tell him to seriously consider the BRC class.  Nothing against you, but through the BRC class he has an easier path to his 'M'.  Through you he'll have to take the DMV test and the written, as opposed to just the written (assuming he passes the BRC).  You can then help him take those basic skills and improve on them.

Tho, I'm sure you explained all this ...

Yes I did. The BRC, IMO, is the bare minimum, and only really trains you to ride slowly in a parking lot. You still have a LOT to learn once you actually get on the road. Hopefully the learning curve isn't fatal. Wink

actually she just never has the time to ride anymore, + we have a v65 she can ride when she wants.  Just the other day she saw a lehman Trike and said she might like to have one of those.

This 250 is damn near perfect, 2 small paint chips in the tank,,,, Had it on a trailer and hit a deer in Yosemite with the Trailer when it jumped between my truck and the trailer, it shattered the deer and sent bones everywhere.

If interested I'll be back in town on Saturday, I'm currently in Vegas for a dealer meeting. let me know I'll give you my contact info in a PM.

In Denver, not UT, but an 07 with only 3.6 miles, plus it's got that first scratch anxiety thing solved...
