Hi, Just bought a 2007 XB12R and am thinking of getting the Factory Touring Pillion for the Mrs. for when she wants to come along.
Anybody get one of these and what does the better half think of it? It looks a lot thicker... http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/Product.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=3&CategoryID=3&ProductID=1697

I've heard that the Touring Pillion is TOO thick, making the passenger's riding posture too uncomfortable because she'd be seated another inch or so higher requiring a bit of a crouch.  Shrug

I've also heard that the Custom Pillion from Buell is better, it's cushier without being so much taller than the stock seat.  I just got one of the Custom Pillions for the Mrs. but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

Dunno about the aftermarket pillion seats, but my wife has ridden pillion on my Firebolt exactly twice (once per season) and each time she's said, "Never again!"  I doubt she'll get aboard this season at all...

Makes a great excuse to pull off the passenger footpegs!  That's what I did last night, looks GREAT!
