Hmmm.  All those pictures look the same to me.  All little red "x"s.  Either I was drink and that's how it all really looked, or I am at work and the photos are blocked.  I shall assume the latter and will check them at home.

I got my FJR apart right now because of a mirror issue. When the bike fell over in the U-Haul the mirror bent outta place and it broke at the base.

http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l131/FJR1300_2005/165107.jpg

The bracket under the faring is bent;

http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l131/FJR1300_2005/Bike%20repair/191426.jpg

So I've had to take all the plastic off to get to the damm thing. But I stripped out one of the bolts that holds the windshield bracket on. I have a tap out and I'll finish taking it apart in the morning, waiting on the drill to charge.

Now the bike looks like this;

http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l131/FJR1300_2005/Bike%20repair/190844.jpg

I'll try to bend the bracket back in place. If not that piece costs about $300.00!  Crazy

Darn expensive vacation this year. See ya next year!  Bigsmile

So were you still in Nebraska when the bike crapped out?

Opps I am too slow, I answered my own question reading the next thread....... ignore questions above

I guess Nebraska was a bad state for STN....

Dave got pulled over for speeding, luckily he got a warning.

My rear tire went and we had to drive to Lincoln, NE yesterday for a new one.  It was only a little out of the way.  We were planning to take US 20 the whole way home, however we ended up taking I-80 instead, but I was lucky to make it to Lincoln, NE without it blowwing up on me.

Wasn't a bald tire, it was a defective tire, and another 40 miles it probably would have blown.

Our dealer has ordered a new ignition for Ears bike. No telling when it'll get here. I'm waiting on a bolt for the windshield, the FZ! mirrors are in for mine. As soon as the bolt gets here I'm back on the road, on two wheels. Driving the car in the summer when there is really nice weather sucks Twofinger

If anyone else is having Ignition trouble CALL YAMAHA and post up on the NTSB, this may initiate a recall from Yamaha. We're still not sure who will be paying for this repair. We're going to see if Y will pick up the bill for it and our rental, not holding our breath on that one.

Now after we got home I get sick, better now but all week I've felt like 5 miles of bad road.

I think I need a vacation from our vactaion.  Crazy

Great photos Req!  Was good meeting you, and riding those dirt roads.  The Mr. and I had a great time, and not even guns pointed at us could stop that.   Lol
