190 rear on 05 Sprint ST?
«

I am thinking of moving to Pilot Power as my new tire and since I ride with a group of mostly 1000cc sportbikes, we often do group buys of tires, but always the size of choice is a 190 in the rear.
i was wondering if it is possible to install 190 rear on the OEM rim and if it will clear swinarm, centerstand and what are the changes in handling.
and if anybody did it?

Do a search here or at Triumphrat. I remember reading something today on it but don't know where it was.

There is no reason to put a 190 on a Sprint unless you want to slow your steering down. I dropped to 180 rears on both my CBR954RR and my RC51. My $0.02.

IMO going to a 190 is pointless unless you can find a 190/55 tire. And if you do find a 190/55 tire you're going to have to completely readjust your suspension to compensate for the additional ride height. (and a 190/55 may or may not fit given that it's bigger in all dimensions).
Just order a 180 from SWMoto. A group buy can't save you more than 5 bucks over them anyways.
