I just ordered a small tankbag from Twisted Throttle to mount on the K.  It's a Bags-Connection Daypack II.  It mounts on the gas cap like the Marsee bag.  Because the mounting allows for ~3-4" of adjustment front to back, it looks like it will work fine w/the gps mounted.  Just wondering if anyone else has tried it, their likes/dislikes, etc.

Nope, but would love to see pics.

I have that tiny thing from Pirate that clips onto the gas cap bolts.

Easy, but always looking for choices.

I use the Engage XL.  Nice bag and it works with the touratech gps mount on mine.  HTH

It's supposed to arrive next Tuesday via UPS; I'll post pics by end of the week, hopefully.

Delivery is scheduled for Wednesday, 6-27; will post up pics after install.

This bag is 6 liters, expandable to 11, I believe.  Looks not nearly as small as Ksann's bag, but not nearly as big as the BMW bag for use with the gps mounted.

Bag arrived yesterday as promised.  I took five minutes to install the bottom tank ring adapter but haven't yet drilled the holes into the bag's bottom plate for the top ring.  Bag is semi-rigid, well constructed with double taped seams and best of all, IT FITS PERFECTLY WITH THE FACTORY MOUNTED GPS UNIT!   Chili  All of this for 1/4 price of the oem bag for use with gps, no straps to deal with, and ridiculously simple and quick on/off function.  I plan on using it for wallet, small toolcase, small plexxus and rag, phone, glasses, air-pressure guage, etc.  When it's filled I'll still have room for a small bottle of water.  Pics won't be posted until Monday.  I'm psyched.

MY BAD! Bigsmile

Yes, it's mounted and fits perfectly.  I will post pics when I get it back from the dealer in Iowa City - I experienced a real puckering case of "Brake Failure" on the interstate the week before last and had to call roadside assistance to get it trailer-ed up there.  (They're trying to fix it for the second time in 8 days right now).  I have had no seat time in several days and I'm just a little pissed off about it.

Anyway, pics will be posted when I get the bike back, hopefully this week.  Call me paranoid, but I suspect the Germans secretly engineered a bug to be activated if anything other than factory luggage is installed, but I could be wrong.

Hmm, so maybe I will be in trouble.

And brakes, why do you need them? Can't you do a flintstone and drag your boots?

The brake problem is weird.  The first attempted fix was rotors, pads and a new sensor.  As that didn't work, I suspect it's a glitch in the electronics.

The Flintstones method only works for a little while before I need a new pair of flip-flops.  What's nice is the new tankbag can hold up to four pairs for longer rides though Wink

UPDATE - Bike won't be back in garage until next Thursday or Friday (8-2 or 8-3).  By extension, no pics until afterwards.  July has not been good to me as far as logging miles, hopefully August is better!
