I have a Garmin Vista Cx.  I want to get the Techmount bar mount system.  What is the best way to "craddle" the unit to the mount?  Will the RAM Craddle bolt up to the Techmount platform?

Thanks,

Sky

Techmount makes adaptor plates that bolt up to most GPS and RAM mounts.

I just drilled holes in my Techmount and mounted my Touratech mount to it. You can probably do the same with any GPS cradle.

That mount looks kind of bulky... I like the fact that it has a keylock, and that it has rubber grommets to isolate vibrations though.

It's really not as bulky as it looks. The lock and vibration isolation was the reason I bought it. It keeps the GPS pretty secure when I'm away from the bike for short periods.

Do you think the bar mount or control mount is better in the Techmount line?  It looks like the control mount would provide less clutter on the bar.
