The title is of a song I like that implies that although there is a lot always going in our busy lives, it's nice to forget about cutting the grass, or working overtime for a little more money, and just enjoy what you have at present. Today my dad, my kids, my cousin and I went fishing to do just that. I don't get to do this much because I'm always busy, but today I said to heck with it. Here are a few pictures of the day. Next time you're in a hurry to get things taken care of, think of something you haven't done in a long time that you enjoy, and go do it. I promise it will be time well wasted!

fireman,

You have beautiful kids.
Be sure to waste more time with them.  They grow up too quick.

Fireman,
Hey I'm an old Fireman too! Retired now and reccomend it highly...Your thread reminded me of the old tv show that used to come out of Greenville,N.C. Southern Sportsman...starred Frank White ..he had a resturaunt up there and cooked what he caught and killed...Anyway he always ended his show with "Do yourself a favor and take a kid fishing" before political correctness came along he would say take a boy fishing....but you one uped him....GOOD DEAL Take care

Be very careful how you spend your time. It is the most valuable commodity you have. If your possessions are traded away, they can be replaced. If you spend some of your money, it can be replaced. When you spend your time, it is gone forever and can never, ever be replaced. Spend it wisely. It's all you have.

Excellent wasted day....they don't come often enough. I can't wait until my kid is old enough for things like fishing, dirt bikes, etc.

I remember "Southern Sportsman" very well. His restaurant was in Farmville, NC. It wasn't that long ago that it was still there, although I think it's gone now. Zebra stripes!
