I currently have a pair of Alpinestar Bat pants, and they only have a small patch of perforation on the upper thigh area.  Now that the temps are rising, I'm-a-cookin  EEK!.

A quick look around and I see the Joe Rocket Blaster Perforated, and the TourMaster Apex Perforated pants.  Anyone have experience with these, or other perf leather pants I missed?  I don't need knee pucks, and I won't shell out $500 for a pair of Vansons.

Thanks!

TourMaster Apex Perforated pants.  Anyone have experience with these

kendenton,

I have the Apex Air, which are perfed' front and rear except in the seat and impact areas. They are as comfortable as can be expected in CE armored 1.2mm leather gear.

It gets stinkin' hot here in Texas but I find that I'll wear the Apex Air pants for a few weeks after the matching perfed' Cortech leather jacket has gone into the closet for it's summer mesh replacement. July-Sept is generally full mesh gear time here for me.

Regards,

Roadgear's XkJ's are fully perforated and they make quality gear.  The only non perf is on the seat.  Also comes with a liner.  But the aforementioed Cortechs are a better deal  Thumbsup

I have the Joe Rocket pants, and so far, I love em! You really feel the perfs on the highway (especially in the crotch area, which is all mesh. Sometimes it gets so cool, I feel like I pee'd in my pants!  Lol ).

I've been wearing them the past two months on every ride...usually doing 300km days in the heat with them. Never really felt heat on my legs...I usually get pretty sweaty because of my leather jacket tho...but never my legs/feet.

Look for Keprotec in nonimpact areas.  It's a DuPont branded, kevlar based material.  High tear resistance, I think.  No protection, but it holds the leather together and flows lots of air.  My suit has it "down there" and it keeps the boys comfortable.
