...nope, didn't crash it (this time!). Traded for a 2007 Multistrada 1100s. I rode this bike a couple times while leading sessions at the Ducati Demo Days event a couple Saturdays ago. Decided it would be an excellent replace ment for the ST2 which had 72,000 miles!
Ohlins front and rear, 1100cc dual spark motor, 2 year unlimited mileage warrenty, and a riding position that lets my aging legs stretch a bit more easily.
I might not be able to keep up with the best of you...but it won't be the bike that makes me slower!!!
...and before anyone says it...pics to follow!

Congrats and welcome to Multistrada ownership!
James, any good bbs for Multis? Also, looking for an odd bit and suggestions. I am trying to use my old tried and true Cortech 21 liter tank bag. Have ordered the Strap Pad Kit to replace the Magnetic Pad I used on the ST2. If that doesn't work is there a tank bag you like? Also, looking to convert to GP Shift. You know anyone who makes that!
Probably lots of other questions but for now I'm gonno go RTFM !!!

Hey Dave,
www.multistrada.net
is your best bet for MTS specific info.
I don't use a tank bag (I travel really, really light) but there are a few out there that fit the MTS. GP Shift? Not for the Multi. If your other bike is set up like that then it makes sense but you have a lot of clearance with this bike.
Where are the pics???

Congrats on the new ride! I still haven't ridden a Multi, but they sure look like a lot of fun.

Ok...the new Strada 1100s is bone stock at the moment. But the S model has a few nice Carbon Fiber bits and, as mentioned earlier, the upgraded Ohlins front and back!
Hard bags and center stand are on order.
I don't intend to catch mod-fever but I don't intend to catch a cold either. We'll see how long the purchase price vacination gives me immunity!

Nice one. I just wish I could hold onto a bike long enough to get to 72K...
