I want a modular helmet, or a full face with a sunshade.  I'd prefer one with both.  I'll be saving for this helmet so I'm not entirely worried as much about money.
I have tried on a few helmets and each has had problems.
the shuberth C-2  seems very claustrophobic inside, just really close chinbar, though not nessisarily touching, very close, head fits right though.
shoei's multitech fits GREAT, untill I lower the chinbar, which touches my chin, also it and the shuberth are unrealistically quiet inside.
Arai's profile fits pretty good, a LITTLE tight on the sides but not bad
HJC's CL-max or whichever CL modular they have fits fine, and has tons of chin room, but its just as featureless and loud and unvented as my CL-14, no  big suprise there, and it has plastic latches, which I dont like.
KBC's modular helmet just doesnt fit all that well last time I tried it on (over a year ago).

I havent tried on the jussimoto by caberg, am I gonna find a tight and claustrophobic cavern in there as well as most modulars?

I tried a Caberg Jusstissimo (SP?), and immediately went back to my Schuberth -- while the schuberth is a tight squeeze (I can push my chin out into the chinbar, if I try), the Caberg was solidly in contact with my chin at all times --

all the modulars I've tried seem a bit too close, but the Schuberth felt like home a few mintues into the first ride --

I remember it did have a little more room than the shoei.  I read a reveiw on the HJC FS-max that has the internal sunshade and some other features, but I dont know if they will keep the shape of the chinbar, so I'm not gonna try to find one online

I currently own a C-1, C-2, and S-1.  I understand what you're saying about the chin bar issue on the Concepts - still, on long rides, the problem seems to go away.  At least I don't think about it much while I'm riding and getting in and out of the helmet isn't a problem.  The S-1, OTOH, has tons of chin room but, for me, is a trifle tight at the cheeks.  The C-1 and C-2 are better at moving air around than the S-1 - at least that's what I experience on my Concours.  Bikes with smaller, or no, windshield will be different, of course.  The internal sun visor is very much worth the effort, particularly if you ride in areas varying quickly from full sun to full shade.  Nothing more exciting than diving into a tunnel at 50-60 MPH with a dark visor on...  EEK! - with the Schuberth (or Caberg or, if it ever reaches the market, the Scorpion EX-1000), flip a lever and all is goodness and light.   Wink

Scorpion should have their EXO 1000 out next spring(?) and it has the retractable sun shade-inside of the helmet, not on the outside like Nolan.  It is a full-face design.

I have heard it'll be available this August.

I was told that it may be delayed until spring, but sooner would be better as long as it works as advertised.

I have a scorpion EXO-400 that I like, but it's a tad too small for me (thought it would break-in some, it has not). So I want to replace it with the next size up. I'd really like to get the 1000. Delays irk me. They indicate a problem that had to go back to R&D or QA, or something involved in manufacturing. Call me picky, but it doesn't bode well since the product was available at shows, and a date was announced for release Sad

well I guess it might go away, it wasnt, a PROBLEM like it was with the multi....  it just felt kinda claustrophobic, but that can probably be attributed as much to that I am used to a full face withplenty of room.  I asked the guy if when I was closer to being able to buy it if I could wear it around the shop for a half hour or so to see if there were any tight spots and such, he said yeah I could anytime, but I didnt want to wear around a helmet for that long that I didnt intend to buy, that would be bad form.

delays can be irksome, agreed -- could be a suppier issue, a distribution problem, or any one of a number of things that cause the delay, though, not all of 'em dire nor product related

after most of a lifetime of working in the software industry, I'd rather my helmet get shipped when it was ready, rather than promised (like software typically is) -- no helmet beta testing for me, thanks ;-}

Uh, but isn't part of the plan to see how a helmet fits over time and, based on the results, select a helmet you might otherwise have passed on?  Walking around in a beanie helmet (what's with those???) when you're in the market for a full face helmet is one thing, but trying a particular model, even if it's not a 100% sure thing, but might be, that's something else.

sorry, I ment that I didnt wanna walk around in the thing, which is my most likely candidate, untill I was more ready to actually buy it, why get the inside all covered in my dead skin and hair and any dandruff and sweat and sit arounda boring triumph dealership for a while when I dont plan on having that kinda money till spring?  I knew right off that the multi didnt fit, didnt need to bother with that, HJC's I know the fit of, I've worn one for a year and a half, the nolan I knew right off was way too round, pressed on my forehead and thats it.  the shuberth is close, so when I am ready to buy before I do I will wander around the store with it on for a while to make sure it fits.  also I will want to know if they can get visors, cause I have read on here and other places that the visors are impossible to get, and I will need visors, cause mine get scratched a lot

Visors (for Schuberths) are not as easily accessible as some makes, but not quite as difficult as some might have you believe -- my local BMW dealer stocks them, for instance

not missing, I tried it on and it didnt fit, actually it fit me really really badly, hurt my forehead but didnt have snugness anywhere else.  and the external sunshade, I heard from a guy who had one on when i was coming into the shop, can scratch up the visor

There's that and it's kinda hard to ride a Nolan with the sun visor down and the main visor up, unlike Schuberths and Cabergs (and, if they ever hit the shelves, Scorpions).  Literally v. cool to ride with the sun visor down and the main visor up on a good day...  Bigok

and on some bikes, the visor open a click or two lines up nicely just below the flow off the shield, allowing openface-like smells and feels while still looking Vader-like behind the built in shades!

I havent tried on the jussimoto by caberg, am I gonna find a tight and claustrophobic cavern in there as well as most modulars?

They are very hard to come by mate! Let alone to try out!
I my self have yet to see on at a local bike dealership and I have every single freaking dealership you can think of from Aprilla to Ural with in 10 min of my house!
My best recommendation is fine some one who has a caberg lid and give it a shot.
As for fit and finish....well I have had two. One I damaged due to a 30mph oopsie stoppie with no damage to my gorgeous face!
The flip down visor in the Caberg Trip helmet is quite nice but the mechanism isn't as easy to use as the one on the Jussimoto lid. That being said, the trip helmet is much quieter and gives you a better view of  your instruments. Thin moto lid kind of configuration.
If you want do a quick search on the Justisimo lid and  you will see a thread started by me.
I posted where I bought mine from and how much I paid.

The Caberg was so tight that when I was finally able to get it closed, I couldn't get it opened.  I had to have a sales person help me open it.  I really wanted to like this helmet, but with the lack of chin room there was just no way.  I ended up buying a Shoei X-11.
