I have a decent set of leathers for racier days, but for general riding and commuting I need some new gear.  I need:
-light color to prevent overheating
-good venting
-500 dernier nylon or higher
-CE armor

Anyone have any recs for a jacket/pants or 1pc that would do this?  Is it unrealistic to expect one set of gear to work for winter and summer?  I have a heated vest I can wear in winter...

Check out the Olympia one-piece suit or the Aerostich. Since getting my 'Stich, I've come to really enjoy and rely on the convenience and the easy in-and-out; great for commuting. The Olympia suit is about half the cost and is racking up some good reviews. For commuting, I don't think I'd go back to separate pieces full time.

Awesome, I'm going to pick up an Olympia suit for warm/cold weather.  I also need some casual boots that can masquerade as dress shoes, and some hot weather gear.  I'm thinking about the GX Air Mesh Jacket at newenough (courtech by TM)?  I don't like the idea of mesh in general (low protection), but can anything else be worn in 90 degree weather?

+1 for Tourmaster or Cortech Jackets.  Maybe a perforated leather jacket as well?
For pants, look at these, http://www.fieldsheer.com/2007web/web3/product/fourseasonM.htm.  My next investment...

Perf'd leather could work, that courtech i mentioned is mesh with leather patches which at least helps.  I think I'll wait until after i get the 1pc and see what kind of temps I can deal with in that thing.  Now I need some boots I can actually walk in...

For boots, try Bates.  They are law enforcement boots but if you get the waterproof/thinsulate ones, they are great for cooler and wet weather. I've been wearing them all season so far.  My feet haven't been overwarm yet.  Also, they are comfortable for all day walking.

definatly . check out the tourmaster intake... mesh jacket.. with a windproof/waterproof liner and another quilted liner to go in that for cold days.. i have used mine down into the low 40s.. and stayed warm.. and stayed dry in the rain.. the concours weather protection i am sure had somthing to do with it.. and here not to long ago. i got to test how well it held up in a crash.. went down at 45 or so.. and i thought it held up fantasticly.. only one dime sized road rash on my elbow..

Did you have the liners in during the crash? If not, would they have helped? Glad you're ok and the jacket works as advertised!
I'm looking at the intake as well and your post might have been the deciding factor!

no. no liners in durring the crash.. it was well over 90 deg.. there is an inner lining that is mesh as well.. didnt get through that at all.. where i had the tinny road rash on my elbow.. i think was from heat and friction more than anything.. because i couldnt find a hole in it.. i know i will be buying another one... good luck..
