He's a big dumbshit tank. He's got a gut for sure, but he's just huge all the way around. Even if he wasn't fat he'd still be over 20 lbs.

Maybelline, one of our clan, will lay the smackdown on any cat that gets within range while I am dishing out their wet food.  She's 11 years old and still hasn't learned that there has always been a little pile for each cat.
