Just signed up my wife and I for this all day ride, $35 per person, you get breakfast lunch and dinner included also a Tshirt etc.
Just wondering who is also going to be there. 100K feet in elevation change. 10 Mountain ranges. 300-500mile day

Registration usually fills up by 3rd week in July.

We did it last year. I'm not sure Rita's up for it again but I can check. I am signed up for the Colorado Freewheelers 1000in24 ride on the 17th I think it is.

I got the paperwork in the mail for the 1000 in 24 ride, it might actually fit into my schedule this year.

The 100k was fun, but mostly because I was with riding buddies....other than that it was just another weekend ride over some passes. I was hoping the route would take us a bit far and wide from the old local stomping grounds - was looking forward to hitting a couple spots I don't get to regularly.

Also got an email for the LOE1000, and since I skipped last year and it's a fun ride....I will probably do it (October).
The 1k in 24 ride covers the ground I don't see every day, so I'm leaning thataway too - especially since I haven't seen Douglas Pass or the top of Grand Mesa yet.

I might be up for the LOE1000. I'll have to chase down the info and get my "reservations" in well before the ride.

Yea I'd forgotten about that. That was pretty nasty. Maybe if we got our own lunch? Smile

Alright I will avoid the spegetti. ...who the hell plans PASTA on an all day motorcycle ride?
Stomach bomb.

IS ANYONE going on the 100K? I will be at the start around 7:20am, Leave by 7:30.

Last year how long did it take everyone to do the route? I may have to cut it short this year--my passenger/wife is pregnant and is a bit morning sick here and there. But my first child was nursed in the womb with a 2000 mile 6 day trip...so maybe she will be used to it!

As I understand, they hit rain when they got back on 70 and most of the folks didn't get back to Denver until well after 7:30pm.

Here's my ride report from last year:  http://schelin.org/20060805/

well, the BRC I was going to be teaching just got cancelled, so I'll look to see you folks there. i'm going to run as a non-registered; seeing as i'm not likely to hang around for the dinner, don't need another t-shirt, have no idea what i'd do with another patch of any kind, and have a drawer full of commemorative pins.
Steve- northwest corner for a 7:30 exit? is that correct? any idea which of your bikes i should be looking for?

I was going to go unregistered too, for the same reasons....but yesterday I signed up. Maybe to motivate me to get the bike cleaned up post-MotoGP trip and show up vs. taking the KLR up into the hills. It survived WestFest and is ready for more, but I'd get home at midnight if I took it on the 100k

We don't need to know which bike Steve's taking.... you know it'll probably be one of the BMW's, so that should narrow it down some.  Bigsmile
If we're taking wagers (and he'll switch to cost me mulah), I'd guess R1200S. (so look for the K1200S).

K1200S.  Duc ST the previous years, but alas, sold.

Joe... as you know ten or so of us gathering at 6:45a in the NW corner of the Foothills lot.
