I'm looking to replace one of my older Arais out of commision.  Earlier this year, I purchased a nolan used to see if I liked it, and I'm LOVING the flip up feature, but after switching between the arai and back, I've decided if there is a more oval compatible flipup, I'd like to go for it.  I've heard the Justissimo fits the bill.  Their website lists NO distributers in the US, or even canada.  I've seen website to order it, but I'd like to TRY IT ON first.  Has anyone in michigan found a place that stocks these?  If not, what types of rallys or things that are still happening in the 07 riding season plan on having a caberg display?

Off topic, but if I dont find one, I"ll probably opt for one of those goofy arai dirtbike-crossover ones.  I'd just like more space for my glassess but the tight cheek fit of the arai.  Please fit the bill caberg, now who's got info for me?

I only knew of one place that carried the (old) Justissimo but no longer (they were in Oregon). As far as I know, there is no place in the States to 'try before you buy'. I was lucky and found them at the Seattle Moto Show a couple of years ago and was able to try one on then.

My take on fit: I used to have an Arai Renegade that fit like a glove. I wear glasses and never had a problem with space. The Caburg fits just as well. After the first year or so the cheeks are getting a little loose, but that's to be expected.

As for where to buy - maybe Riderwearhouse/Aero Design can help. The sell them and probably have a pretty good handle on getting a good fit from the start  Thumbsup

Recreational Leisure in Farmington started carrying these this year.  I'd love to get one myself but the darn thing hits my chin.  I haven't tried their newest model (the Trip I think) but I'm not sure anyone in the states is carrying that one yet anyway.  Rec. Leisure is off of Grand River in Farmington near Orchard Lake road.  Here's a link to their website.  Crappy website...good people. -->

You may want to give them a call before you go out there, it's been over a month since I've been over there.

Great people to deal with...not a discount house but the service is top notch - they carry the hard to find Olympia gear as well.

They sent my Caberg out for a try on (not a ride around though) - if you don't like it or it doesn't fit, send it back...yes you have shipping charges but, what do you do...

With that being said:  I have a Nolan N100E and I also the Caberg Solo (non flip helemet) - both fit great (basically, if the Nolan N100e fits you, the caberg should fit, use the same size as well.)

I exclusively wear my Caberg at all times...very comfortable, fog free shield (not the visor though), decent venting, good look...just a great helmet.

hey thanks for the comments!

I do wear glasses as well, and the quantum I'm speaking of does scrunch them a little.  I just cant get over how that's such an old helmet, yet it massages my cheeks so delicately... Lol I feel that the arai fits me very well, but the nolan is a bit too round headed.  I put on my vemar as well the other day, and I kinda got upset that I ever thought it fit.  It was my first helmet... That was another I could never find to try on. Oh well..

I'll try calling rec leisure. Rider wearhouse is somewhere in wisconsin or minnesota right?  I'm going up to the houghton kewenaw area on thursday with no itenerary after the weekend.  Maybe I could take the loooooooong way home?  Headscratch

Really? I was there at their open house and they did not have any but that was months ago.

I was at Detroit BMW and they had some. Not my Mirage though but they could probably order one.

What dealer is that?  Central NJ is the closest Caberg dealer to me that I've heard of so far.

Motoliberty in Dallas and LoneStar BMW in Austin, TX have them. I bought mine at LoneStar after walking around the store with it on for half an hour.

Just a quick update.  I did stop by rec leisure today.  They had a Medium in the deep blue that's scary close to matching my bike.  They also had a large in the fancy 80's gunmetal graphics, and an XL in sparkle grey.  Important thing is I tried it on.  I'm not sure I like th eway it fits, but I put it on and off probably 10 times and I think it "broke in".  one part of pad that bugged me initially was fine at the end.

Notes:  The interior sun visor does NOT conflict with glasses.  Unless you're still wearing large LARGE plastic rimmed glasses, you wont even be CLOSE to touching.

The vents look miniscule.  Some roastage could be a factor, but I'm always cold anyways.  The visor looks great, very clear, no distortion thta I could tell.  The neck strap was albeit more comfortable than my nolan's, it cuts in less, and has a wider pad to distribute the diggage.  I'm a fan.  I think I'll order one online now that I nkow it fits, in white.

The lady told me they were a special demo run or something, so they werent really getting more.  I said tha was fine and thanked her for her time.  They were charging 320 roughly a piece, if any of you detroiters feel ancy.  They're real nice helmets.  Very stealthy looking.  I'm glad I got to do it, thanks all for the help.

Now should I just buy a 4th helmet straight up, or sell one of my current ones to fund it?   Headscratch

RBEmerson, http://desimonemotorsport.com/Default.asp in Cherry Hill has Caberg helmets.  Also a good selection of other modulars as well.  Good customer service as well.

Anyone got a lead on instock Caberg's within 200 miles of Denver CO?
I want a 'Trip' SOOOOOO bad, but don't really know if I'm ok with buying one sight unseen.  I'd be happy just to try on a Solo or Justissimo for the head shape.

I really do need to go there and drool on the Beemers, too.  I checked their web site a couple of times, thinking, for some reason, that they carried Caberg but no joy.  Ah, well, now I know... Now to head over there...   Bigok
