I'm wishing I hadn't bought a Zumo right now; it's been quite problematic
Though, so far, Garmin's support personnel has been wonderful. (I'm still hopeful; because apart from the problems I've been having, the unit is wonderful)

Please elaborate on your problems with the Zumo.

It's not the destination, but the journey, that counts. A sport-tourer's ride between two points is seldom a straight line. He will often seek the most convoluted route possible.

I saw this! Very tempting! My wife and I purchased a Magellan Explorist 500 that we wanted to try geocaching with. I would like to add it to the bike and test it but I do hear positive things about the TomTom...hmmmm.

The unit stops reporting/detecting external power - even in debug mode - if the battery level drops below ~3.90V (despite charging the battery at this point).
I can handle that, but listening to music (or, it seems on some occasions simply having audio enabled at all) drains the battery.
If I hit the cutoff above, the unit flashes "external power lost; continue on battery power?" off and on while the battery tries to charge above the 'cutoff' point. On some occasions, I'm too busy riding to push the "yes" button and the unit shuts itself off. At this point, I have to pull over to either re-seat the unit in the cradle or press the power and one of the other buttons at the same time to turn it back on.
Edit to add:
I was able to reproduce all problems with the motorcycle off (simply running off the battery power of the motorcycle). I double-checked and triple-checked the electrical connections; all were good. Garmin even sent me a new cradle; and I've been referred to L2 support. They've been helpful so far, and I'm assuming that I probably have a unit w/ a defective charging circuit. Everything I've read says that listening to music shouldn't drain the battery...
