Atlanta area bike night

First STN bike night for ATL area riders is scheduled for 11/30 around 7PM at the Vortex on Euclid.

The weather looks like rain so this may be postponed.  No point in riding in the rain in ATL unless you have to.

Sign Guy and I will meet up at exit 51 on I85 around 6 at the Shell if anyone is planning on coming from that direction and wants to ride together.

I'll be there on Blue, 1986 Concours if it ain't raining.  Last time I went in the rain I froze my ass off on the ride home.

As the North Georgia AAD for COG I've been working at getting some of our members out to The Vortex on First Thursday.  We do third Thursday at Rocco's in Marietta if you're interested also and everyone is welcome to come to that.  It's about a mile East of the Big Chicken in the back right corner of the strip center behind the McDonalds.

I ride a black Multi and Sign Guy has a red Falco.  I'll post tomorrow afternoon if I'm going to be manly or wuss out depending on the weather.

The latest forecast I heard was scattered showers tomorrow evening with thunderbumpers moving in later tomorrow night.  I usually take a look at NOAA Radar to make my decision.    Thunderstorms are not fun.  Besides it tends to keep the bikes away from the Vortex and that's a big reason I go, to see what shows up.

I rode a couple of times today in the showers and it wasn't too fun.  If it looks iffy tomorrow afternoon and the radar ain't clear then I say we live to eat another day.

Looks like they're getting clobbered pretty badly out west of here by the cold front coming through.

It still looks clear through 'bama with some popcorn showers showing up, but that's a big ole mess over Mississipi and Arkansas.  I can understand not wanting to get caught in it, but I may wait until 5 to decide.

Just a short note to invite anyone in the Atlanta area to the Concours Monthly Dinner at Rocco's Pub. Rocco's Pub is located at 1425 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30062. It is located behind Williamson Brothers Barbecue in New London Square shopping center in the far, back-right corner. MOst everybody shows up between 7 and 7:30 and we usually sit at the long table in the back of the pub, unless weather is nice when you'll find us on the deck.
