(TalkingHead if you want to see me truely pissed off....this is the time to sit back, make some popcorn and watch)

Not the club specifically but the executive board.

When I started racing there they said, "Everything you need to know about this club is in the rule book".  Well it fucking isn't.

For example meetings.  There is nothing about which meetings a member can or can not attend.  There are rules stating that special types of meetings might be called and XYZ position is responsable for having certain people there.  But those meetings are things like appeal boards.

So when I look at the other racing club down south, OMRRA, I see that they encourage their members to going to meeting such as their general membership meeting and their executive board meetings.  But for some reason W M R R A's meetings are secret or some bullshit but there is no rule against or for it.

Jesuss....so no wonder club participation is at the all time lowest.  No wonder why they can never get the minimum amount of members at the general membership meeting to get anything done.  No wonder why people think the executive board is about the "good old boyz club".

It worse than working at Microsoft.  The funny thing is up until this point I wanted to do whatever I can to help further the club and make it more than it is today.  To make it a place that people want to come watch the racing.  To make it a place were we can get more than just Jake Holden into the national levels.  To make it a place that runs smoothly and treats each person with respect and fairness.

But after tonight I don't know if I give a shit so much.  I now know why the average racer only latest 3 years and it isn't money.

best way to avoid getting worked up about meetings is...

stop attending meetings  Bigsmile

it's the reason I'd rather tour alone than in a group...

"oh, we have to stop because so & so fergot his winter gloves" or "oh, we need to stop because so & so needs to blow his nose" or....

fook it  Bigsmile

Wow. The weather must really suck up there.

If you think you are pissed off now, wait until you run for some office in WMRRA, do tons of thankless work on your own time and hear nothing but complaints. Be glad you're on the outside looking in.

Just curious, but are you part of the executive board? If you want change, perhaps you should run for office, and inspire others who also want change to join you. You seem really pissed off, but this could be an opportunity to stick it to the man! (well at least stick it to the "good ole boyz")

I ran for a position and lost by 11 votes to someone much more well known than I.

I'll gladly listen to complaints.  It means at least I'm in a position where I can do something about it.
