Just wondering if Buell sellers tend to stand on MSRP (as I'm sure they can do with the Harleys on the same sales floor) or deal like regular vehicle salesmen?  Not looking to know what anyone paid for their bike, just a sense for whether the price of the bike (i.e., before taxes, tags, title and whatnot; but feel free to include freight and setup) was above/at/below MSRP.

In July '06 I paid $9000 out the door for a new '06 XB12R.  That may or may not be what you're asking for, but that's all I got for ya.

My bike listed for $10,295. The dealer wrote it up for $10,000 even. But they did not charge me freight, set-up, or motor vehicle fees. Smile

OK, feel free to give OTD prices, but it'd be great if you could reveal what your state's tax is.  Cool

North Carolina is 3%, fwiw.

I paid MSRP for my '06 Firebolt XB12R.  They did NOT charge me any fees except registration and taxes.  I really liked my salesman and his sales assistant who spent a lot of time with me going over the bike before and after the sale.  They deserve the commission.   Thumbsup

Some Buell dealers won't budge off MSRP. Some will discount a good bit. So it depends. Shop around. Getting the bike for MSRP out the door (bike, any fees, title, tax, etc) isn't unreasonable. You can probably do better than that on a leftover or slow selling model.

My dealer wouldn't budge off MSRP, although I did get a good discount on the bags and the first service. They also waived the fees.

Strangely, I got a big discount off MSRP, but they charged me a small freight fee and a ridiculous doc fee.  The sales manager claimed that he could discount the bike, but *had* to charge the same fees.
Headscratch

I got the price down to within a couple hundred bucks of what it would have cost me to drive down to Florida and pick one up at Ocala HD/Buell (cheapest Uly in the country at the time), so I'm OK with supporting the dealer 3 miles from my house.
