Rode down to Okarche yesterday and had some fried chicken. How about this place in the Spring for an Okies get together lunch some Saturday?

I think we should have a greasy spoons tour of Oklahoma.  Scheduled stops would include:

Eichen's Chicken
Pete's Pizza
Ken's Steakhouse
The Meer's Store
Bad Brad's BBQ

This, of course, wouldn't happen all on one day.  Maybe we could go once a month during the summer?  Maybe starting in April?

Count me in.  Eischens's is a great destination at the end of a nice loop.  I would also be interested in the greasy spoon tours if we can do them on Sundays.

Go to Okarche, turn right at the light, and another right at the next block, it's on the left side of the street. During rideable weather, there will generally be a number of bikes parked in it's vicinity.

Exactly.  I live in Mustang.  We usually head out 152 to 37 and then head up to Hinton and take a break at Red Rock Canyon.  From there, it's a 20 minute jaunt up 81 to Okarche and Eischen's fried chicken goodness.  Back down 3 if we're in a hurry to get back to town, or back to Hinton to ride 37 again on the way home.  Makes for a great afteroon ride!  I'm ready to do it again!

I can remember riding 37 just a little while after getting my first bike.  I remembered these real sharp turns that I had to slow way down on. Crazy  I remember being freaked out about the gravel roads coming from other directions. Sad  In short I remember a few really tight 90 degree turns.

I rode it last fall on the VFR, what happened to all the tight turns? Headscratch  It's amazing how much difference a few years makes. Smile
