"Pirate Night" -- What say ye?

I'm thinking of having a Pirate Night at my place on Saturday, Dec. 23rd.  We've got both "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies (Curse of the Black Pearl & Dead Man's Chest) and we could see the entire story......thus far.

Bring what you'd like to eat/share and I'll work on what I can provide. (suggestions welcomed for pirate-food)

A pirate would 'liberate' the new Harley Davidson XR1200 and ride it like the scoundrel he's reputed to be.

Iffin' he be a pirate with any heart a'tall he'd be leavin' that thar XB1200 with yerstruly for safe keepin'.

5.  None of the above. Pirates sail ships. Ninjas ride motorsickles. But if a pirate was to temporarily procure a bike in order to get to his ship it would probably be a fast and stealthy FJR, he would need the bags for his booty.

Hmmm.  That's a good point, the booty storage.  Maybe a pirate rides a Ural with a hack.  Plenty of room to carry booty, plus pirates are drunk a lot of the time and the Ural wouldn't fall over at stop lights.

Although pirates probably don't stop at stop lights.  Seems like they'd be considered more of a guideline.

The Ural sort of carries that pirate aura, too.

Thing is, many of us (including me) are out of town due to that pesky Christmas holiday.  So while I think this is a brilliant idea, and I know we all relish the chance to see Dante in that outfit she used to have on her avatar (complete with hat and  swashbuckling steel), the timing is not fortuitous.

How about in January?  You might also have fixed the big holes in your roof by then.  I hate it when my peg leg gets wet.

I'd say the first pirate movie ought to go into the 'ol DVD player @ 5:00.....possibly a wee bit sooner if we get there in time.  The movies are 143 min. & 150 min. respectively so they should start early so the older pirates in the group (That'd be me!) don't fall asleep before they're over.

I was just offered a comp (covered) club seat to this afternoon's game, which unfortunately begins at 5:00 as well.....enjoy the movies!

....got about 100 miles of fun riding in today...nothing too aggressive, given the still-wet and in places icy conditions, but a great 100 under beautiful clear skies, nontheless.
