I traded my VFR for a 07 K1200GT. It is like a grown up VFR, better ergos for me at 6'2" and more room for the Mrs. We demo rode a R1200RT and the K1200GT we both liked the KGT much better, I was hoping that would be the case. It is one sweet ride for sure!

Been looking at those..... very curious about the mpg's.  When you get some miles on it to break it in, can you post up some mpg results or PM them to me?

My R1100S's got/get around 39mpg (combined, w/lead wrist sydrome).
My old R1200ST got 49mpg's !!  (same; combined, w/lead wrist sydrome).
My old K1100LT got around 39 as well.

Tha computer says 42.9 at just over 400 miles. In break-in mode, we will see what comes after the 7K limit is over and I can go to 10K!!!!!

I traded my VFR for a  K1200GT.

Did the same thing last year. You won't be disappointed.

As for gas mileage, it depends on how aggressive you are with your right wrist, but I've gotten close to 50 MPG a couple of times........

Did you feel the dealer gave a fair trade value for your VFR?

I would love to get a KGT but I first need to sell my current bike and the KGT is a bit out of my budget at the moment.

I got average trade in, KBB value, much better than other offers at other dealers. Some of them wouldnt touch a VFR, they always have leftovers in Hondas warehouses. The VFR is a niche bike, not sporty enough for some, not touring enough for others.

BMW can arrange simple payments to allow ownership, it did cost alot more than my first new car, a 78 Toyota Celica!
