I got my Corbin Canyon seat for the V-Strom 650 about 10 days ago. I ordered direct from Corbin, and it arrived in about 10 days. I was psyched to get it, as the stock seat tore my ass all to hell (I literally couldn't ride the Wee more than about 15 minutes before my butt started hurting on the stock seat!)
The Corbin seat is wider, flatter, and taller than the stock DL650 seat. I don't know exact height measurement (though I could do that if anyone really wants to know), but the seat is definitely at least an inch higher, which I liked (it's almost as tall as the KLR now, LOL).
Before mounting, you have to unbolt the rear latch plate from the stock seat and bolt it to the pre-drilled threaded holes in the Corbin seat. This operation was quick and easy, and the latch plate fit perfectly.
Fit to the bike was pretty good. I was a bit put-off that the front of the Corbin seat has only one metal tongue (centered), whereas the stock seat has two. (Guess Corbin doesn't think you need two?) About the only difficulty I had getting the Corbin on was that I had to really push down hard on the rear of the seat to get it to latch. I've noticed over time, though, that it's latching more easily (as the seat breaks in I guess).
Comfort? AWESOME!

Like all Corbin seats, it's hard as a rock...which is perfect for me! That, combined with a flatter surface (no family jewels getting crushed against the tank) and a wider surface (no more buns hanging off either side, but firmly supported all around!) mkaes for a **much** more comfortable ride.
So far I've only ridden it for about an hour at a time...but after an hour, my butt felt great---so no complaints. I still need to give it the 300-mile-plus test ride, but I'm confident it'll be fine. So it was money well-spent for me (and really was, for me, a mandatory purchase).
Here's an overhead view of the Corbin (left) and stock seat...
