I know Coretech makes some nylon sport saddlebags and a tailbag that can be strapped on to pretty much any little crotch rocket, and a number of companies make dufflebags that can be pretty much sytrapped to anything. But is there any way to get some serious luggage (hard) mounted on a CBR 600RR?

Go look on the www.givi.it web site to see what they offer for it. They have a new bracket and box system (E-46?) specifically designed to conform around the tail of sportbikes, but I don't know if they make one for the RR CBRs yet.

Keep in mind that any of the 30+ liter boxes are going to look wildly out of proportion on any 600cc machine especially a modern repli-racer.
IMHO; E-21 boxes are really as large as you would want to go on it.  And even if GIVI or other brand (H&B) don't offer a mounting, its not hard to fabricate one if you have the time and a little bit of skill:

Good luck. two big things:

1 - the RR was *completely* redesigned for '07, tip to tip. Getting stuff might be difficult.

2 - Givi wouldn't sell me all the stuff I needed for my '06 F4i in the 'States because it's only available in Europe for the Hornet and road blocked me the entire way for reasons of DOT and safety. Sad

Contact a UK distributor (or search the world wide Ebay listings), they will probably sell you a set without a problem if you are willing to pay the shipping.

Are you gonna get hard bags (saddle) for your F4i?  Just get the SWMOTECH stuff, it fits like a charm. GiVi wont do shit for you if your in the USA. Its a "buy what they sell in the US catalog or take a walk" when dealing with them for mounts.

I've tried. It's all on indefinite back order from Germany; SW-Motech *and* the 5-Stars *and* the Krauser stuff.

I guess it's all made at the same factory or something.

A plague upon your toes. I keep hoping some fine, caring ST.N member will say, "Why Chornbe... I have just what you need. Pay for shipping and a small token fee for my trouble, and I'll get them right out to you."

Alas... my waiting seems eternal.

Or some shit like that Razz

Here's a top box solution: Buy a spare passenger seat & latch hardware (~$60 IIRC) and a Givi top plate for whatever Givi box (Monokey or Monolock) you want to buy. Drill a few holes through the top plate into the seat. Fasten the top plate to the seat using stainless steel threaded rod and you have viable topbox (and backrest) which can be popped off when you get to your destination. If you go as large as a V46 top case, you don't need the sidecases. And you are guaranteed to get attention on the road.

Of course, this assumes you won't be carrying a passenger. I have all the bits to do this on my '05 RR but just haven't gotten around to it.
