Just got a quote from barnacle bill:
$700 for perf leather pants to zip to my existing jacket
Is there a cheaper way to go?
I'm just a female rider looking for armoured leather pants that fit me

Can't you buy some non-fitted pants and have him modify it to fit?  Might be a bit cheaper.  A nice set of leather pants are gonna run $400 anyways, it still might be worth it to get some perfectly fitted ones that'll last forever.

People are paying more than $700 just for the latest designer label blue jeans.  I don't think $700 is too much for custom leather pants, because in straight extrapolation that means a custom suit would only be $1400.  Seeing that there are many non custom suits costing at least that, it aint so bad.

Vanson's perf leather pants for women are $415 in standard sizes.  I don't think they would charge $285 more for custom size.  It would be worth your while to call/email them.

Hmmm.... I'm gonna go try these on somewhere...
I'm sure somebody in Los Angeles will have them... such as Moto Italia...
Thanks, FiremanBob!

My point being, $700 for custom motorcycle pants made out of leather isn't so bad when peeps now are paying that much for glorified Levis.  How much did you expect a custom pair to cost?  These puppies aren't made in China by slave labour.

Proitalia in Glendale carries Vanson.  There is the Dainese flagship store in Costa Mesa that has women's gear.  Bev Hills Ducati also carries women's gear.

Try Syed and Vanson, might be a little bit less.

My custom Syed suit has already paid for itself in crashes that would have required throwing away off the shelf stuff, and it fits like a glove.
