Headscratch I see him every trip up there and can't remember the site they are posted on.  Oh... Something big happened today on the way down, the search and rescue helicopter was out and I passed about 8 emergency vehicles on the way down.

I thunked killboy.com was a solitary guy taking pictures...

then I saw a picture in Motorcyclist magazine showing 3 vehicles with Killboy.com graphics painted on them  EEK!

holy kwap!

I never thought there'd be that much money in taking pictures and selling them on the web.

Yeah, it would seem that this killboy chap is making his whole living off selling pics on the intertubes. Who knows what the real story is, but he lives in the South, so it makes it more plausable (ie, morgage or rent, etc.). Maybe this is possible for a living in the South, but I don't think you could get by on the West coast on such an arrangement. There's no 'main road'  in the West that compares to the Dragon for draw...

My dream job is more along the lines of what YellowWolf was doing. Ride behind videos pressed to dvd from his equipment in the trunk. I guess it wasn't to lucrutive because I think he went back to truck-driving after a year or so (all of this is off the top of my head, so correct me if I'm wrong).

Anyways, I ran a search of the local mailing list to look for photogs in the last year or so that were shooting at the top of 'the snake'. This would be the section of Mulholland that runs north from the RockStore till the lookout (maybe 3-4 miles). Though this whole section of the Santa Monica mountains (plus numerous other roads) is under similar hard-core leo scutiny as the Dragon.

Ok, I'm just babbling, but here's a cool pic I think came from someone shooting at the top of the Snake. Chris MacAskill. Don't take my word for it though, I'm just aimlessly surfing the internet. Still, I thought this was a cool shot in anycase...
