Almost all the gear. I wear jacket, gloves, full faced helmet and jeans. Sometimes I wear armor under the jeans though.

I voted jacket, pants, and helmet. But, I don't always wear "riding" pants. Jeans yes, but not armor like I should.

Crashed three weeks ago. I was wearing full gear despite it being a very hot day. Saved me a tremendous amount of road rash. I ended up with a a couple of sprains, a puncture wound in the knee where something pierced the armor, and a bit of road rash on the same knee and my left hand. Judging from the state of the gear, I'd be one big mass of road rash without the gear. The worst was one big ugly scrape up the left side of my helmet from the chin, across the visor to my the forehead. I hate to think what that would have done to my face and head without a full-face helmet. I'm pretty much always ATGATT, but do sometimes just wear jeans instead of riding pants for short in-town rides. I'm now researching new gear, and will not skimp on good gear.

Helmet, Gloves, Jeans, Boots. No shorts, or tank tops. I crashed in 1969 and my leg saved my Suzuki from being all skinned up. My leg on the other hand really was a mess for several weeks. No crashes since. I worked a crash last night at work. Guy crashed his 95 HD Electra Glide in a turn. I think he miss-judged the turn and entered too fast. Both he and the bike got skinned up some. His half-shell helmet likely prevented him from being killed or brain-crippled.

3/4 helmet (can't stand full face), jacket, gloves, boots, ballistic(?) jeans, i.e.: Draggin or Diamond Gusset. Haven't been able to find a pr of true riding pants that don't look like something outta a Mel Gibson movie, or be just too damm hot. Around town, the helmet, gloves, and regular jeans are OK, to me anyway.

Need to have a "it varies" option. I'm one of those whose gear choices depends on what I'm doing. Do I ride ATGATT? Sometimes yes, sometimes no, and I suspect that is true of a large number of riders.

Open face, goggles, leather jacket, armoured jeans, boots, gloves, with a silk scarf to keep the flies off my face. If it's winter or I'm on a long run with rain threatened, I MAY wear a fully armoured textile jacket and trousers, boots, gloves and (I blush) an full face.

ATGATT except if I am going to be around town I will wear jeans. I've gone 30 on the bicycle with what feels like a foam cooler on my head, so I don't feel bad about wearing jeans at those speeds.

I always (well 99% of the time) wear helmet, jacket, gloves. Any ride that takes me out of town I also throw on the Firstgear pants.
Also any ride that is more than a day long I throw in a rain jacket, heated vest, and waterproof/insulated gloves.

I read it as you did, Ben. Does the full-gear (helmet) category include gloves, riding boots, eye protection as well as jacket and pants? That would be my answer. I will alternate my gear i.e leather / mesh / textile according to the weather, my mood and the length of the ride.
The only time I will ride with less, is on the MSF range, where I will comply with their requirements for long sleeves, long pants etc. But after the range is done for the day and the bikes are put away, I get the REAL gear on to ride home.

Full gear is the full riding suit (jacket & pants)(kevlar or other material) with helmet
Jacket and pants w/ helmet. Is meant to mean a jacket(any kind) and pants(any material) and helmet.
And gloves were not included by design to keep the list small.

For everyday riding for work just a denim jacket, 3/4 helmet, short gloves & working boots.
For weekend the same 3/4 helmet, short gloves, denim pants, a protected mesh jacket, riding boots
For touring a flip up helmet, short gloves, protected jacket & pants, riding boots
For track a full face helmet, wearpack, long track gloves & boots

Given the choices, full gear w/helmet, but my typical riding gear when commuting consists of jeans, jacket, boots, gloves and helmet. I put on full 'ATGATT' gear when going on a pleasure ride. Sometimes, if it gets particularly hot in the summer, I will ride in town with out the jacket, but only once or twice a year and only because it's fun in an-extra-risk-damn-it-feels-good kind of way.

No matter, always wear full gear and glad to see that its leading the voting but would expect it to with a sport-touring group.

Being from North GA I ride year round with decent comfort (Widder vest + layers). In the dog days of summer I used to ride sans pants. However after a very low speed get off 3 weeks ago due to pine straw and gravel I now ride with the pants regardless. For nothing else, the zipper attachment keeps my jacket in place instead of riding up like it did.

Nitrous is like a hot chick with STDs, you know you want to hit it but are afraid of the consequences. <--Stolen from another board...I admit it.
