I just finished a 4 day ride with a buddy on my Speed Triple. I left Boise on Friday and headed up to Missoula over Lost Trail pass. Then Saturday was up through Glacier Natl Park and into Alberta. Sunday was over into British Columbian and then we took the border crossing into Eureka MT. Then we headed down past Lake Koocanusa and down into Libby and over to Sandpoint. Then we headed south to Lewiston for the night. Monday we left Lewiston and headed south to Joseph Oregon then over to Hells Canyon and back to Boise.

The bike was amazing! Not that I condone this but it will run a 20 mph corner at 60 with my fat ass and my luggage on the back and be stable. I did put a Sargeant seat on it and that helped a lot. I did have to do some work for the luggage. I bought a rack from Twisted Throttle that was made for the Triple and hard luggage. Then I bought a sheet of diamond plate, cut it down to 1' x 1' and painted it black and mounted it to the rack. I now can put my tailbag on that and still get my seat on and off if I need to.

Excellent! It's amazing how capable a sport-tourer the Speed Triple is. It's a total sleeper for that application.  Thumbsup

That Speed Trip is one of the few bikes that looks good in white.   Thumbsup

Is that the spiral highway in Lewiston?

It's the Old Lewiston Road, that goes from Lewiston up the hill and connects with the highway heading up to Moscow.
