Here are a few snaps from my ride up to Trinity Mountain Lookout today. The forecast called for rain but I didn't believe them. Instead I got sleet at 9500 feet. It was not a sunny day but it was a good day.  Bigsmile

See the lookout? That's where we are going.

I'm not crooked, that thing up there is. I was 10 when I was up here last...

9336? I'm too lazy to calibrate my GPS. It's 9500 Feet silly.

Gob Smacked.

Looking back the way we came.

Here comes the weather.

If I got drunk up here I think I'd just sleep it off in the outhouse. One wrong step...

My bike is still there...

The Trinity Lakes

Time to head down before the storm.

I made it down about 1500 feet and then a big windstorm hit. I had to hunker (I've always wanted to say "hunker") down behind a ridge for about 40 minutes to let it pass. There were 3 like that before I got off the mountain. I felt like a real live adventurer.  Lol

Great stuff.

Did you get an aftermarket tank for the 610?

Yes. It's a IMS 5 gallon tank and I can get a little over 200 miles with it. It's a requirement in this state. I don't know what those Italians are thinking shipping a bike with a 3.5 gallon tank.  Headscratch

Great bike. It's worth looking at. I know you were thinking about a KLR. Bend Euro Moto seems like a great place to deal with.

Bend Euro Moto is a great place to deal with.   Thumbsup  David keeps after me to get a 610, but it's $2G's more than a KLR and I swear it's even taller.  I'm 6' 1", well maybe down to 6' now, but I can't flatfoot the 610.

I dang near went over just trying to get on and off on a test sit at the shop.  The sidestand snaps up very easily, I found out.   Embarassment

Why would you need to flat foot a bike?

Anyway, great pictures and story! I'm jealous of the great areas you have to ride out there.
