Oh come on. This has to be a troll or sock puppet. I can't believe someone would seriously use JB Weld when putting his oil plug back in. Heck, I'd at least read the fricking tube before applying (which I did the first time I used it).

I can not get to the link but it is possible. I read recently on a vtwin board where a guy bought a new 2007 HD with a 6-speed transmission. He was asking about the mysterious code 6 on his speedo. If he had read his owners manual like he should it would have told him that it was an indicator light when he shifted into 6th gear.

Prank.  But a fun read.  Generated some real wrote rage.

Ever notice that the more $$$ someone spends on their bike, the less sense of humor they have about it? They can't take good-natured jab-poking. It's "mine is cooler, bigger, badder, faster" etc.

Wow! What a thread.  I'm left grateful that the good folks who moderate here and UFO are not so quick to ban someone. If the HD forum had let that guy continue to post I can only imagine where this story would have gone.

Thank you to the Skipper and the mods for allowing knuckle heads to come here and say the funniest shit evar without fear of getting banned.  Banning is for babies, unless it's in OT, then it's a funny thread.

His bike - 2000 Hayabusa (because it's important to have the speedo that reads 220 MPH...)

Good troll.  Had 'em rolling.

The only thing I use JB Weld for is to glue my key into the ignition.  That way, no one can steal the key.   Thumbsup

This reminds me of a thread at a neon board. Some kid couldn't get his oil drain pug out and ended up rounding it off so he asked for suggestions. The next day he posts that he figured out a way to drain his oil. He removed the oil filter, started the car and revved it up. he said that he got all of the oil out but made a huge mess. It had to be a troll like the one the OP posted.  Lol

Yeah, I found that annoying too  Crazy

I like this quote (from the guy who "did the deed")
Quote
I wish this was a joke 1fltri4me.   I really think I did it this time.  Me and Sonny got the screw out, but I think I cracked the bottom of my case.   He was heating it with the torch and I was banging on it with my hammer and it came loose, but we both see a crack near the screw.  All the oil is out. I wonder if warranty will cover this.  What can I fix this with?  I'm hoping the dealer can get me in sooner than Friday.  I don't feel like riding tomorrow now.  My OL is going to be mad.

 rofl

Holy shit! He went on to write this little gem:
Quote
The dealership IS going to send someone out to pick it up.  They told me to put the plug back in and fill it back up with oil and they would send someone to ride it back into the shop.  I hope the crack was in the case BEFORE all of this and it is covered by warranty.   I'm thinking harley is going to screw me and charge me for the crack when it could have already been there.  Not looking good as of now.  This may turn into a court battle.  I don't know who to go after first, my neighbor or harley

WTF????  Confused Nuts

I just don't even know where to begin....  Rolleyes

I don't get that on my PC. I'm using Firefox with the Adblock plugin which blocks those sorts of things. They pop up on rpg.net as well. I only see them on the Mac and yes, it is annoying.

Some of the HD guys over there are pretty funny.  I want a GS, but I had to laugh at the comment about the adventure.  Something like the guy was riding to the planet of Dork.
