My younger brother turns 19 in a few weeks and we are going to take a road trip to Toronto for the weekend.  We don't really need some of those luxurious places I find on the net and at the same time I have found a few budget ones that I'm not sure about.  I've never been to Toronto and I am not sure where I want to stay other than it should be close to downtown and be a good price.
Anyone?

So he can get shit faced legally  eh? Lol

Any of the downtown hotels will be some what pricey - but thats the price you pay for being downtown.

Just anti up and have fun-- that way don't have to worry about DUI to some hotel in the Burbs.
You'll find what you need here

I stayed here http://www.dayshoteltoronto.ca/ a few months ago when I was in Toronto for business.  It was alright, clean, cheap for downtown, and walking (crawling) distance to the Hall of Fame (hockey of course) the sky dome etc.  I would recomend it.

Yep that's a nice place. The general manager is the father of one of my son's hockey buddies.

THere's a DAYS INN on Lakeshore West, it's a "motel" and it's a Days Inn... so i'm not sure how good it is... it's not RIGHT downtown but about a 15 minute drive.... if u're looking for a cheap alternative, check it out... i've never been so i can't tell u if it's any good.  Rolleyes

So when are you going? Where are you staying?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Others are just bored so they type stuff like this.

I stayed at the Hotel Victoria when I was in Toronto for business this past June. It is just around the corner from the Hockey Hall of Fame, but probably too pricey? I don't know what you are looking to spend.
