I have my doubts about the 1000 version and even if its real I'm sure it would be a "European only" model. We cant even get the damn ABS option of the 650 Versys here in the states. Still in shock that they sent some ABS Concours 14's over here.

Better check out the Suzuki camp for abs equipped bikes.  DL 650, bandit 1250, sv 650 , burgman scooter all available with abs at a decent price.  If I were in the market for a small displacement sit up and beg bike I'd go with the dl 650 over the versys.

Versys has mostly adjustable suspension and doesn't look like it hit EVERY branch on the way down the ugly tree (just most of them).

+1
and i'll add, i think it's the headlight alone that hit all the branches on the way down... the rest of the bike is pretty stylish, especially for a "budget" bike.
i was considering the wee-strom and versys as a next bike, but the versys' lighter weight and on-road bias have won me over  Inlove  now to wait for them to start arriving here in the mid-atlantic dealers!

Yep, would be nice.  Kudos to Kawasaki for bringing the Versys here.  If the 650 sells and they build a 1000 then perhaps they will bring it here.

Raptors and Rockets also state the rumor of the 1000 Versys.

Scroll down to read.

I think Craptors and Crockets started the rumor of the 1000 Versys.
