Just poking fun, D_R.    :pokestick:        I do that kind of stuff all the time… damn MS Word.

So, can one still ride from Yucca Valley to Big Bear up through Pioneer Town/Pipes Rd.

Riders with ABS won't wave back at me.

Well...they're very tense because of their increased stopping distance, see, so they're keeping their eyes fixed on the road...

...just sayin'.

Sad to hear. Why I didn’t do the Top Of The World last winter – would have just bummed me.

Yup. Around here… the left side of the continent.  Smile   I do so love SoCal. ‘pesially in Jan and Feb, when the stupid sign outside of town that says “The Palm Springs Of Washington” is covered in snow an ice cycles, har har. Fiesta Park in Indio is a favorite hole-up in the Coachella Valley.

One time, we were duel-sporting from Yucca Valley up to 38 and my front went flat out on Burns Canyon Rd (I think). Rode it flat back to the Harley shop, Hutchins IIRC, in YV. They did an all out to get us back on the road (nice folks), but let the shop monkey practice fixing flats. He put the new tube in, but didn’t bother to check for the cause, a pin sized nail as it turned out. An hour after we rode out of there, I was riding back on another flat. Funny now… not then!

Anyway, on the bright side, things grow back pretty fast there, especially if you were to have a couple wet seasons.

Cheers

hmmm-I just love the pointlessness of that.

By the way, please may I complain about the number of replies to this thread. Took ages to read it.

Thanks. That's the best reaction, but proper reactions come form all across the board.   Smile

Ok, cagers, here's the drill:
1. First signals.
2. Then brakes.
3. Lastly turn.

Next lesson: Keeping your car *on the asphalt* and *between the lines.*

My tiered licensing plan: you must first learn to operate a motorcycle BEFORE you can operate a car.
