July Cycle World magazine had an evaluation of the Garmin Zumo vs. TomTom Rider. They thought they were both good products but said the Zumo "emerges the killer GPS of the two".
Highlights for TomTom were + hooded glare shield, comes with Bluetooth headset. - Occasionally plots roundabout route, only water resistant, carkit not included.
Zumo highlights. Touch screen and conventional buttons, waterproof, lots of additional features, including MP3 and jpg player/viewer, export to google earth, gas gauge feature identifying nearest gas stations, displays speed, eta, distance to destination, and verbal and text directions more explicit and detailed than TomTom. Zumo allows custom POI's. Includes car kit with speaker in mount. - No included Bluetooth headset, more expensive.
These were the magazines words, not mine. But I recently bought the Zumo. It's not perfect, but I'm very happy with it. I like the MP3 option, and retired my Ipod Shuffle. And the car kit has brought auto routing to my 4-wheeled vehicle.
I don't know what the lowest price for a TomTom Rider is, but I bought the Zumo for just $69 more than the TomTom in your link.
There are cheaper ways to go, but if you're thinking of spending $$$ for a motorcycle specific GPS, I'd recommend that you check out both of these.

Found the TomTom for $440 on BestBuy.com. I'm leaning strongly towards it just for the price. However, if there's any big problems with it, I'll stay away.
Having a car kit for it isn't a big deal, as I rarely drive my truck, and never on a trip.
Anyone else have a opinion on it?

I guess nobody else has one
Just kidding. That sounds like a good price. It is definitely cheaper than the Zumo, and will certainly get you to where you're going.

Ended up getting the Zumo 550 instead.
Decided on it for the car kit (wife may use the GPS some), and I found it for (what i thought was) a reasonoable price at GPSCity.com.

I prefer the Garmin units, mainly for the ability to plan a route on your PC via Mapsource and then transfer the routes and waypoints back to the GPS unit. I don't believe TomTom has this ability yet. Also for stateside usage, I've found Garmin's Navteq maps to be more accurate than TomTom's Tele Atlas maps.
