Had an Autocom in my RF-900 with great results. Switched to the 1000, and the speakers are killing me! This helmet has speaker recesses, but it's way too tight on my ears. Anyone deal with this and have a fix?

Lately, I've been using some Sony earbuds with my mp3 player and love them. Can I use them with a mic for the Autocom? Have to head to the AC website, but just seeing if anyone here was doing something similar. Thanks.

I found the same problem with the Chatterbox speakers and my RF1000. I couldn't go over a half hour or so before I had to pull them out. Some guys cut out the styrofoam so the speakers can recess into helmet's liner more but I haven't convinced myself that it was a good and safe idea.

I've been thinking about trying the earbud setup.

I carefully melted the styrofoam with a small soldering iron.  Have good ventilation.  Ian, Iowa
