Lots o' grass talk, and none of it about smokin' grass
I'm the insane neighbor that cuts the neighbors grass along the road so I dont have to be witness to the neighbors neglect...I'm also the HOA VP...and it keeps me from having to take legal action
Just kidding...about the legal action...I really do mow the neighbors grass along the road....ergo...you dont see me much because I cut more than I ride these dayz

You saw what he did to his BMW. Just think what he'll do to the Guzzi.

Yeah...giving a crap is nice. Meet the PWT that lives next to us. Yay. That's just one side of their house, luckily the once closest to us.
Thats some high quality stuff there. You should of seen what was parked in my back yard for the past few years. It's finally gone but after a few hundred bullet holes, it was time to take the shootin' truck to the scrapyard.
The view at DNA's dream house. "Honey!! What's for dinner?".....

EGADS! I finally tap in to read some good ride stories, and y'all are talking about your lawn! No one has a life anymore! I'll take some pics of lane splitters out here in CA and find a way to post them and generate at least a conversation that has to deal with bikes!!! BTW, I'll be out here for a bit, so if anyone needs a good bike, Sadie is OK to take out and ride responsibly. Mr Happy is getting dusty.

I guess I'm not the only one to pick up on all the "lawn talk" (D O T). OK..riding talk...I road with a group from Meetup.com last Sunday...probably the HOTTEST day of the year thus far...and they took me up HWY 1 from Fredericksburg to Alexandria!!!! THere was a good reason for that ride...but dang...my butt's still sore! I rode a little around King George yesterday and discovered that my new back tire probably wont last any longer than the last one (about a year). Damn Vmax is hard on rear tires...I hear the new Vmax is even harder on back tires!

Riding talk?
All I can contribute is maintenance talk.
I need to do a tune-up on both the Concours & the DR-Z.
Connie also needs tires and a front brake rotor (warped it playing with all you fast guys)
DR-Z needs a chain and sprockets & tires.
And I still am wistfully eying the various liter sized offerings like an '04 FZ1, Touno, Speed triple, etc. Fruitless window shopping frankly given the state of cash on hand for such things.

I rode today - possibly 25 miles. IN the rain. On the 250 off road in my first AMA type dirt "event".
It was not pretty. I hate mud and I hate rain.
Basically I dropped it at least 50 times, tore it up and bonked with not hydration or calories on board.
Not a pretty day, but at least I learned that when the old man is sitting out and volunteers to work the timing stand - that would be a clue to offer to help instead of try and ride.
In other news - my grass is still not cut and is growing fast.

Congrats on the event! But, rain + dirt ====== muuuuuuududdddddddd.
I rode today. Down to F'burg. To Morton's.
Met a guy who also has an '08 K1200GT. The difference being his bike has the standard height seat and mine has the low seat. He needed a lower one and I needed a higher one, so we swapped. Good deal all around. Since 95 was a parking lot I took 17 to 28 to 66 through a light to heavy rain. It sucked, though my knees felt better.

If this post was for me - you ought to know I trailed the dirt bike there and back, got stuck 2 or 3 times, and had to have a course marshal pull me out and another push me up a slime covered hill.
It was not a pretty sight, and I am not sure the bike is ever going to get right again. I'm on my 8th Advil already today.

No, but it could have been for you. For Peter, a trip to Morton's usually means the BMW is busted. . ..
