This is with Team Pro Motion.  I'm renting a bike (I can't get the knee halfway to the ground on #4).

Well, I was seriously thinking about joining in on the fun (would love to do another track day or two this year), but I just took the car into the shop and found out we need a new air conditioning unit.

Bye-bye track day.

Is anyone up for a Gilligan Sat or Sunday AM?

I am trying to schedule the weekend and have a 3 hour (perishable) credit to go and ride. Bigok

Depends. Looks like rain on Saturday, but I might go to PA for father's day. Not sure yet.

Possible. Not probable, but possible. Might be a game time decision....

Heading out for an early AM short spin with a neighbor.
Leaving the neighborhood at 7:45 - must be back by 9:30  Rolleyes
If interested - meet us at StoneRidge 7/11 a few miles west of the temple on rt50?

Went to Summit Point (Shenandoah) with Dot and her daughter Sara and her BF Rich.  Good day for all.

Dot and me.   Inlove

Peter - that looks like great fun - I really would like to try it some time - especially with a rented bike.  Can you share the costs so i can budget appropriately?

It is interesting to note that for off road riding we novices are instructed to get the elbows up and out in an aggressive attack position.

I really don't do that very well either. Rolleyes

Orange line for me, which was thankfully uneventful today.

I also wanted to pass on at the track this weekend that there were two groups of folks who went out on their own bikes. I noticed a rather slow, all-in-a-line group, then noticed there was a Harley in there, with female rider. Wish I got a pic. Then I saw they didn't have all the leathers on. Then I learned you can sign up just to go out for a bit on your own bike. Don't know the cost, and certainly not the same as renting one of their bikes or getting your own set to go, but an opportunity to get out there nonetheless.

Thanks. Great info - especially for the 'Tard. How fun would it be to pass someone on a bike that looks like a candy corn.

It is a beautiful day so I rode in on the Sprint and can confirm the new motor is working well and can pull well over a ton... Rolleyes

guess you can change your bike description back now.

you'd look even better on that orange bike if you had hi viz gear.  Hot!

The track fee varies with track, about $170 for the day.  The bike rental is $295 with a $1,500 damage deposit.  Ain't cheap, but less than buying a bike and all that.  OTOH, I'm thinking about "...and all that."     Shrug

I thought you used elbows for passing?  Learn something new every day.   Wink

Does that $170 include instruction and any type of class?  Lunch?  Pie?

The 'Tard was set up by one of the instructors up there to run the short and mid track.  Could b a good investment...

That is just the track fee.  Costs more for their classes.  Find it all here:  http://www.teampromotion.com/tpm.php
