Unfortunately, my no-mar machine is sitting in IL at the moment.  My recommendation for the tard' is for a pair of Dunlop Roadsmarts.

To whom it may concern, Carlisle Bike Fest is going on this weekend.  http://www.carlisleevents.com/ce/events/bikefest/

Friday - Sunday  $8 bucks to get in - bikes park free.

Anyone have a 2 wheeled heap I can borrow? lol It seems that's all we ride nowadays.  My ride is waiting for parts in illinois. Thumbsdown

Sure, the DR-Z has street rubber on it again. Come get it.  Bigok

I'd volunteer the FZ1 but you all break too much stuff.  Besides, I just got it cleaned back up from my round trip yesterday to...

Well, I did it. Bought the Ducati Monster 696. Red, beautiful, sexy. I need bar risers, but that will come. She has a lovely soft clutch and responds like a dream. Not that my Sadie is bad, but I'm ready for a bit more power and glide. And it wasn't lost on Peter that the new bike has a lap timer. I guess I'll time myself aroung the block or something. Before he times himself aroung the track. Peter has the only pic so far on his iPhone. So maybe he can post.

And I'm wondering if anyone wants to do the bike day at the Bealton (?) air show on 26 July? I guess that is a week from tomorrow, and if you haven't been there, it is a fantastic show for all, mostly the kids, in older bi-planes. They do a motorcycle day once a year with reduced entry fees for folks on bikes. Anyone interested? Let's see, which bike should I ride there?

I think she wants the electronics to keep working.  Oh, wait, she lets me ride it......   Wink

Speaking of riding, I was out riding today with a guy from my office.  [I didn't mention this before the ride, since I didn't want witnesses if he ended up at a hospital.]  Since Ray wasn't familiar with the Loudoun/Faquire/Clarke area roads we rode Snickersville T, Mt. Weather, Mt. Carmel, then out 55 to Front Royal.  We got on Mt. Carmel from Rt 50 and the first 3 miles had loose gravel everywhere, like the warning sign said.  I hope there was a sign on the southbound lane -- two groups of riders (~12 or so in each) were flying south.  What is the hand signal for gravel ahead?

One interesting aspect of the ride:  I was on my '08 BMW K1200GT and Ray was on his '77 BMW R75/7.

Who wants to go for a ride tomorrow?   Bigok

I have a tentative ride pass for the entire morning - at least...

I am open to most any options starting as early or late, but it is getting hot out - so an earlier start  seems mo betta.

Excellent.  Will you be bringing the new Duc? Bigok

I have to go by the pie place and drop of an alligator.  Be good to run Mt Carmel again - love that road in the AM.

Details - tomorrow at the TOS.  9:30 ish?

The red bike got loose on the streets with Dot!!  We met up with DNA at the ToS on 50.

Short ride, but fun.  Now Dot needs to decide which bike she likes better.  [Is she serious?   Crazy ]
