I may or may not go out for a gilligan tomorrow with the RT, but I have to do a few more things to it. The latest problem is that the bolt holding the cylinder head cover on stripped through no fault of my own, so need to fix that. But if I do go out, it would be a ~90 mile loop I have in mind, out to marshall and 55 area. Not too far away.

[Pics later. Just to get that out of the way.]
I know that 958 miles in a two day weekend isn't big here.
It was a lot for me. From here down to Asheville, NC, by superslab, then back by some of the BRP and a lot of STALLED superslab. Nothing like resting the riding boots on 81 for several minutes. Frequently.
Weather was fine on Saturday. Got about 30 minutes of rain on the BRP. Wouldn't have been an issue, but that occured during dense fog which made the situation suck.
With the way I feel now (waiting for the meds to kick in) after taking two days to cover short of 1k miles, I must
to all you IB numbered riders. Or is it numbed riders?
BTW, 4009 miles on #4 and I still own it. Might be a long-term bike! Except the heated seat controller went bonkers....

Sounds like a great ride - glad you got some miles in around the deluge.
Ibuprofen is your best friend friend
BTW how are your little muscled between the shoulder blades and up into your neck doing?
Once the burn really sets in they go numb a few hours later. The pain starts the next 48 hours.

You are referring to the 'double triangles of pain'? They have felt better.

I rode thru there a few years back -- at 0430. Same scenery, just much darker, with tons of glowing eyes. . ..

(Booming voice on)
Saturday! Saturday! Saturday!
(Booming voice on)
I have a free day until 4:00 in the afternoon.
Who wants to ride? Long short - fast or slowish?
Should have new Distanzas on the Tard be then as well.
Joe - are the RTP and Sprint ready to make their WVA return?
Anyone?

If you get an early start and are headed this way I'd be up for catching ya'll enroute. I'll have to peel off in time to be at work in Edinburg at 2pm though.

I'm out.
Even though I'm back in NoVa, my bike remains in Vermont. For now. Long story.
Anyway, I'll be heading back sometime in the next few weeks to pick it up and ride it home, but exactly when remains to be seen.

Not me. I have work stuff to get done in the AM, then I got to take the bike to Morton's and leave it.

No, I am VTEC-free.
On the ride back last Sunday I went through moderate rain and heavy fog. I got chilled so I turned on the grip warmers and seat heater. After about 30 minutes the weather got better, so I turned those off. Except the seat heater didn't stay off; it kept coming back on after a minute or two. After 20 minutes of this I stopped and disconnected the wires to the seats. The panel kept showing the seat heater on for about two hours. I am worried that there is a leak into the switchgear housing and I would rather have that checked out before it affects something else, like the starter switch. The service manager said he hadn't hear of this happening.
