I am interested in this new bike but find it hard to locate a dealer that will allow a test ride. Anyone have any experience with it to date. All reviews I have read are very pleased with it, the only complaint seems to be the short windscreen. My current ride is a BMW R 1200 RT 06 vintage. Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, but, and it's a big but.  I took a 1986 Connie at a dealer in western MA  for a 45 min. ride.  But it was in 1986.  Drove to the dealer in my truck because I crashed my 1983 Honda 1100F and was looking for a replacement. I bought the bike new for $5000.00 .  I think the world has changed. Sad

Very few dealers offer test rides AT ALL.  And those that do are probably not going to allow it on the new Connie for the time being since as far as I can tell locally, they are sold before they hit the floor.

If that's the case everywhere, I can see where it would be hard to get a test ride.

For what it is worth, the Iron Butt Rally guy that rode it finished with no problems other than nearly being roasted alive from the heat it generates.
