Lorenzo is making the step up and Michelin is sticking around.

Cool, I hope Edwards comes back here to make the AMAs more interesting.  WSBK would be cool too.

I bet Lorenzo is faster than Edwards.  Good move on Yamaha's part.

So does this mean that Edwards is officially on "coast" for the rest of the year?  Lame duck, plus I don't think there's going to be a place for him in MotoGP next year.  His time is done.

I thought the rumor was that he'd be paired with Toseland on a satellite team...

But I don't read the mags so I'm not really up to date.

Toseland is going to the Tech3 Yamaha squad.

CE will stay in MotoGP and be teamed with Toseland.

Edwards will race for Yamaha next season. Essentially he stays under contract to Yamaha, gets the same big salary, perks and the like, but is loaned to the Tech 3 squad

Announcement to come after the weekend.

Ahhhh...I think we all knew that was coming. Would love this to be the push that he needs to start doing well but I don't think so.

They are keeping Michelin (no big surprise) but I imagine there will be a lot of ritual beatings at their R & D shop until they get a good tire mix.

+1.  For some reason, Colin just isn't getting it done in MotoGP.  Shame that.

True, especially considering that he was a phenom on 250's, which the new MotoGP 800's are most similar to.   Headscratch

It will be interesting to see the two former two-time SBK champs battle it out on the same team.  Ill still be pulling for CE but if I had to bet I'd go with Toseland.
