MotoGP of Portugal. Qualifying & Race Results***SPOILER***

Qualifying run in good conditions. Seems an unusual top 10 really and the Suzukis don't seem to be right for this circuit.
1. Hayden
2. Stoner
3. Rossi
4. Tamada
5. Pedrosa
6. Edwards
7. Melandri
8. Guintoli
9. Elias
10. Hopkins
I think the top 3 qualifiers are likely to be on the podium, but maybe not in that order.
Rossi is about due for a win.

Good to see Tamada fast all weekend. Great to see Nicky on Pole.
From the practice times on race tires, it looks like Stoner has the field covered.

After all the crap Nicky's had to deal with, it's great to see him on top. Hopefully he can translate that to the race because it seemed like, as Dogboy said, Stoner owned the practice. Again.

Stoner crashes out, unhurt but unable to restart, Rossi and Hayden have a Ding-dong battle (tm) to the end but Rossi outfoxes Hayden on the last corner of the last lap to take the win!
(in my dreams)
At least it would make the championship more interesting. 271 to 211. Still a near impossibility really.

Hayden? Is that guy still riding?
Just kidding! I was as thrilled as any at his championship last year; what a nightmare of a season this has been for him. Hopefully he and Honda can get some positive momentum going and produce some better results next year, too.

I think this is a one-season wonder. Next year, Michelin will be able to figure out grip and tire construction. Yamaha and Honda will be able to index their machines against known (ducati) standards and the
real
racing will begin. Ducati (and Bridgestone) just figured out the puzzle faster.
Oh, and Stoner is completely dialed in too.

It was good to see some actual racing in MotoGP again - it was almost as exciting a the 125 race.
Rossi dedicated the win to his friend Colin McCrae
