HELP!!! - Online bike manuals
«

Well, I am in the middle of a move and I know someone posted a link around here a while ago that went to numerous versions of bike manuals and mechanics working manuals. My manual is lost somewhere among all of my stuff, and I am trying to get the cover off that goes over the front sprocket (broken chain snapped a tooth). 86 GSXR 1100 The liquid clutch also connects through this cover and I don't want to jack myself or the bike up. Thanks for any help in advance.

...PAGING FASTCAT... FASTCAT PLEASE REPORT TO THE SUZUKI FORUM....
If it's anything like the my Bandit, just pull out all the allen bolts holding the cover on. The hydraulic part of the clutch ends on the outside of the cover, where it actuates a rod that pushes the clutch open through the side of the case. Not a lot that can go wrong besides the rod falling out. In which case I put it back in.
Again, I have no idea how similar the bikes are, but the Bandit IS basically an old GSXR 1100.

No manual for the late-model Bandit, natch.
And I DID buy one off eBay that was obviously a bound copy of a copy, but it was better than the one I HAD, which was none at all. I wish to f**k I knew where that thing was now.

Thanks Dred for the advice, and Jetpilot5 that was exactly what I was looking for. You guys rock!!! I was hoping that there wasn't something spring loaded or something that would fly into pieces when I pulled it off. Well I got the cover off and the sprocket removed, so now I get ready to head off for the holidays, and hope my parts are sitting here when I return.
Side note: SO finally found the manual after I already had the cover off. I took hell for that one seeing as I checked the box it was in, but it was covered by another book (the rest of the books in the box were laying down, except for the manual that was standing on its end).
