I've only been working here for two weeks and one of my team has his bike up on craigslist for sale:

http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/423465128.html

His wife is against it as she likes riding on the back. He stopped by the Ducati dealer over the weekend and is already talking about going on a ride into the mountains with me.

I suggested the local group's newbie rides and that Rita and I do go on those from time to time.

That Duece will keep up with you just fine. Tell him to save his money, learn how to ride, and break the mold.

And it comes with "Hand Grips"

Maybe I am out of "it" but don't all motorcycles come with hand controls and most have grips???

This one's special: it even comes with "foot pegs" for both the driver and passenger  EEK!

Footpegs would be a selling point. Think of how much harder it would be to ride without them.

Personally (and maybe this is just me) but I simply wouldn't buy a bike that didn't have hand grips and foot pegs.

At least you're not a baaa-d influence. The peer pressure that goes on amongst HD riders amazes me.

$19,000  EEK!

That's 3-5K more than book, and the only improvements besides engine are non-functional.  He's asking more than any new softtail (other than the new Rocker).

Personally, I'd be surprised if he got more than $15,000, and real surprised ig he gets any offers at all.  Oh well, there is a sucker born every minute.
