I've loved this bike since it arrived.  But, I've never seen one on the road, never seen one at the dealer and never met an owner.  I've heard good things but how many are actually out there?  Anybody replaced a CApo with something else and why?

I test rode a Capo once.  I thought it was really topheavy, but that is my complaint about all the big-engine adv. tourers [except, maybe the Buell Ulysses].  The engine is fabulous and will absolutely smoke something like the 1000 V-Strom.  I rode comfortably and handles well on pavement.

The performance of the Caponorde and V-Strom is nearly identicle.  All of the published tests show this.

Thinking about buying a leftover Caponord for mostly pavement use.  I'm 6'3", 260, and like Aprilias.  Also like having relatively rare bikes.  Anybody want to share their insights about the Caponord with me?

Yeah, if I could only have one bike, it would be a Caponord.  It goes just about anywhere, although weight is a limiting factor.  Handles the weight of passenger and luggage really well.  Cruises comfortably for me at 70-75 and can still drag a peg in the turns.  You might want to look into a sheepskin buttpad though, because after 200-250 miles, I start feeling the pressure points on the seat.
