Yes, I too noticed that article about Dr T and also read the One Wheel Drive 2004 post of the Paul Smart interview on the '72 Imola victory using the original Dr T 750 "L" twin with desmos, (with a *wet* clutch I might add).  I feel the facts that he worked for no more pay than any other Ducati worker, and that he never left Ducati are *amazing*, as this speaks to the "soul" associated with Ducatis, if not to the high degree of professional ethics of days gone by. (Maybe all the same could be said about Ed Turner at Triumph) The guy could have easily made a ton more money elsewhere, but he was committed to Ducati, and what it stood for. Like Ducati owners/riders who could buy a bike that costs a few dollars less to buy and maintain, but who choose Ducati instead, for the "soul."
