GIVI questions

I'm looking for some suggestions about GIVI cases. I've recently purchased a used set of 360 cases and rack for my FZ1, to use as hard saddle bags and add a top case later on. But looking at the pictures and diminsions of the 360's I'm wondering if I should use one as a top case and get some smaller GIVI cases to uses as side bags? Anybody using the 360's? How, as top case or as side cases?

I had 3 - 360s on my FZ1 and could carry stuff for 2 weeks in the side cases and left the topcase empty to drop in my helmet, jacket and gloves when I stopped. I eventually upgraded the topcase to a V46 so I could carry a laptop case in it.
Not sure this answers your question but I find a larger topcase great for day to day stuff.

I have a set of E360's that I use as saddlebags... and I have another one I'm fixin' to make a top case, but I haven't purchased the brackets yet. Not sure what other info you're lookin' for here
They do make the bike fairly W I D E, so if you're in California it will hinder your lane sharing ability.

I'm looking for the opinions of folks who've used them as side cases first and top cases secondly.
I'm wondering if they are excessively large and I'm sure that's probably very subjective. What's excessive to one person.......
Anyway, it helps to hear of others experience with them.
I've seen some photos of some smaller, top opening GIVI's that I am also curious about, wondering how they'ed be as side cases.
Thanks.

I've got a pair of E360s on my CBR as saddle bags. They hold TONS. I've got an E45N (the budget black one) as my top case on several bikes. It's very big and CHEAP since it's the plain style. They're water proof, solid, well built, shaped well, etc. Hope that helps.
