Have any of you done business with these folks, out of Calgary?
I'm thinking of placing an order, but I can't seem to get any reviews or recommendations, and I don't want to chance making a big purchase from someone I don't know.
Any advice appreciated.

I've ordered quite a few things from their US site (gpscity.com). The prices are good and shipping has always been fast and accurate.

Someone let an American in here. They look and sound similar, but they pay too few taxes for me to accept them as people. You have to be Canadian or 5'4" to post in here, little-one. (chuckle, snort, cough)
To actually sort of answer the question. My buddy ordered from them about 2 years ago and had no problems with anything and seemed happy with his Garmish-type purchase.

I've bought a couple of GPS units from them, and have used GPS Central as well. Both have been good to deal with.

I've dealt with GPS City (Canada) for my first GPS unit about five years ago.
When it came time to buy my latest GPS, they didn't even reply to my e-mails.
I now deal with GPS Central out of Calgary. Far better service.

Yes I can recommend this company. Have dealt with them and service is good. You have to be careful because you are going to have to pay the Alberta sales tax on everything you buy from them.

I've bought several items through the Calgary site, and been pleased with the price and delivery. No returns or warranty dealings.

+1 for GPSCentral. Very good and very fast service and from what I've seen their proced tend to be slightly better. I've got a Garmin 60Cx on the way from them right now.

I have had dealings with both GPS City and GPS Central. Both have been excellent, no complaints at all. I would compare prices and go with the best price although I think they both price match.

Check out autonav2000.com outta San Jose. The owner is a motorcyclist and extends deep discounts to members of the various FJR forums. Someone might wanna invite them on in as a preferred vendor and see if a similar deal could be struck here... just a thought.

Well, I had a bit of a funny experience with them, after I asked for advice... Their price was a little better than the others I checked out (by about $20), and their website said "in stock", whereas everyone else's says the item is on backorder.
I got a bit of a funny feeling, like maybe they didn't really have the units in stock, so I fired off an email, telling them I was ready to order, but I wanted to know how quick it could be delivered. They got back to me a day later and told me they "just shipped their last one", so they are now out of stock, and if I ordered I would have to wait a bit.
Now, that may be entirely true, and maybe it's unfair for me to doubt them, but I just had a strange feeling. I'm glad I checked it out by emailing them first - I could have just placed an order at their website which says "In stock! ships same-day". Still says that today, actually.

Highly recommend GPSCentral.ca
I've done most of my business with them in person, and they are always willing to take whatever time is needed to answer questions and find the right answers for me. Great service.
