Shameless cross-post to the kwak forum of my recent trip on the 650R.
You know, just in case bluepoof needs any more encouragement.

Woo!
I'll have to reread the ride report sometime when I'm not on my PDA. Yay! I really can't wait for the 08s to appear in the dealerships.

Becky seems to really like her's. We bought SWMotec quick release mounts and used an extra set of H&B hard bags to turn it into a willing tourer. Fun to ride and reasonably comfortable.

Motornoggin, do you have the links for the mounts and hard bags? Thanks, Panther

www.twistedthrottle.com
has the SW Motech racks.
I have the full GIVI setup, didn't use the V35 side cases on this trip.

What he said.
TwistedThrottle seems to be a good company to deal with as well. Shipped the mounts out quickly.
They fit well, and are kinda slick even though we never remove the mounts, they do come off easy if needed. They are stout too.

Thanks gentlemen,
I made the mistake of dropping the EX500's forks off at Xtreme powersports yesterday. They had a Blue 650r on the floor for $5250. I have a bad feeling my check book won't survive the return to pick up the forks.

If you can hold out in the face of that deal, you're a stronger man than I...

That could be a very expensive fork repair!

I just got the new hitch put on the truck and a friend replaced the moto-tote he took. So it would be an easy pick up.
On second thought...
I think I'll be sending someone else to pick the forks up. I can resist anything except temptation

We're definitely cut from the same mold. I'm heading over to the dealer this weekend to "just look" at a few bikes. (Hmmmm...wonder if they are having close-outs on the '07's).
Cheers,
Joe
PS. C'mon...go pick up the forks yourself. It will be a good way for you to practice self-control (and the rest of us want to hear all about your new 650R). They look great in blue, don't they?

That blue 650R is nice, sat on one yesterday while I was getting a tire mounted.
