Two bikers slam into wall in San Jose, die
John Cote, Chronicle Staff Writer

Wednesday, October 3, 2007

(10-02) 23:16 PDT San Jose -- Two motorcyclists were killed Monday evening in the southeast San Jose foothills when they slammed into a wall at high speed, possibly while racing, police said today.

The crash happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Silver Creek Valley Road at Farnsworth Drive in an area of exclusive homes near the Silver Creek Valley Country Club, police said.

Authorities identified one of the motorcyclists as Marco Mena-Flores, 28. His hometown was not known. Authorities withheld information about the other male rider until relatives could be notified.

Witnesses said the two motorcyclists had been speeding, and possibly racing, just before striking the wall, police Sgt. Nick Muyo said.

Muyo said he did not have an estimate for how fast the two were driving, but said, "They were going well over the speed limit."

That's a mighty vague statement. 35mph to 100mph could be well over the speed limit (25-70 posted)

Looks like they probably just failed to make/notice the turn.

HEY... I know where that is!  Back in the mid 90s I used to be a chauffeur and I had a regular client that I used to pick up right there! That's a very nice place to live. The guy I used to pick up was a plastic surgeon, and he had a super HOT wife.... I'm talkin really really hot. She was my age (mid 20s) and he was probably 70 years old (he looked really good for his age though).

OMG she was so hot. I feel kinda bad for lusting after this guys wife.   Embarassment

Oh yeah that road gets a lot of young kids in their cars and on their bikes racing. It goes over the top of a hill, and their isn't a lot of pedestrians or traffic around. Kids have been having accidents on that road for years.
